Followed by a race around Brisbane... well, not so much of a race, as a gentle stroll with challenges and questions to answer along the way!!
There were a bunch of campers lined up for a photo with this nice officer's partner... he thought it was hilarious that his mate was in a photo. Of course, camp rules don't allow that photo to be uploaded, but Damian's response was "Don't think you are missing out on a photo!!"
Artwork in the Queen Street Mall...
Don't be fooled by the size... this is a companion!! Dan the Man checking out some of the ball sculptures in Brisbane Square (outside the Treasury Casino). They are made from old vegetable steamer/colander type things!
An eagle... maybe not the same angle that everyone else took the photo from!!
And one from the boring angle...
Past this historic old building...
Into the Botanic Gardens, where one of the kids gave Damian some interesting sherbert/lollie type thing...
After lunch, the adventure continued...
Across the Goodwill Bridge to South Bank...
And even a ride on the Brisbane Eye!!
No leaning on clouds!! (Hey, should that bolt be loose?)
At camp, one of the new companions Wayne brought out some LED fire twirlers...
The kids had to make some words to describe their day using play-doh...
The next day, lots of interesting activities kicked off... One of Damian's campers did this awesome spray-painting canvas...
Some of the kids painted Dunlop Volley shoes...
Another of Damian's campers gave his shoes to his sister to paint... perhaps he should have been more specific!!
Getting ready for the disco with Dave...
Putting our best feet forward!!
What camp would be complete without a hug from a Wookie?
At the secret disco location, there were balloons...
And a lollie buffet!!
After the disco, everyone was treated to an ice-cream at Maccas... You reckon that they had minor heart failure when two busses pulled up outside?
On the final day of camp, it was time for go-karting!!
Phil and Geoff the bus drivers were keen to have a go...
There goes Phil!!
So that is a brief rundown of what went on at Senior Sibs camp in 2012. This is why Team Booger Mobile continue to fundraise with all their might, so that kids living with cancer and their families can have these experiences.
If you want to be involved with Camp Quality, sign up... it's a whole lot of fun!!
