Daybreak, Sunday morning... Booger Mobile is washed and shined ready to head to the Dick Johnson Racing Open Day, where four esCarpade cars will be special guests!!
Heading off into the cool morning...
Down the highway...
Always time for a selfie!!
At first Damian thought something was on fire, but it was just a foggy morning on the south side!!
Meeting at the BP Yatala - Team Afro in their freshly painted Fireman Sam Pajero were already there...
Selfie, ruined by a shadow... still, good for comedic value!! 808 aka Purple People Eater arrived in the background...
Shark Mobile arrived also, as did Team Ryan (new entrant for 2013) who were there to lend support, but their car isn't quite ready...
Parked looking good!!
Damian posing...
Cars lined up to go on display - clearly they heard Booger Mobile was attending!!
The four CQ teams lined up and getting ready for fun and fundraising!!
Damian went for a little walk to check out the cars, and found this one that was a similar colour to Booger Mobile...
This classy GT was Damian's favourite of the morning...
The grid girls were doing the rounds for photos with the cars...
What could the crowd up near Purple People Eater be for? ;-)
A quick trip through the Dick Johnson Racing building...
Ford stuff hanging everywhere...
Greens-Tuf... even Dick loves green!!
Either a very unfortunate front page for the day, or brilliant timing and advertising - you decide!!
Channel 9 interviewing Dick Johnson - Booger Mobile is likely to be in the background!!
More of Dick being interviewed...
Purple People Eater makes an appearance... freaking out women and small children in the process!!
Damian has a minor Booger issue...
Damian's favourite for the afternoon - another GT that came and parked just near the guys...
"The Rock" - as in the one that was rolled out in front of Dick Johnson at Bathurst in the early 80's...
Time to go home, and poor old Purple People Eater picks up where they left off last year - this time carby problems...
Bit of luck it will get going soon, and hopefully Tony will get it sorted before esCarpade so that he can have a trouble free run this year!!
Cars started to head out... it was time to head home.
Snappy pic of Damian's green socks that were a gift from the Clowns last year...
Heading down the Gateway Bridge...
City skyline beautifully framed by the door frame, and the fence!!
And home!!
Check out that awesome LED safety light... Team Afro asked if it was going to be bright enough... Sharky was driving behind it and said it burned a hole in his retina, so it would seem the answer is YES!!
And back in the shed, ready for a sleep.
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Dick Johnson Racing Open Day and stopped by and said g'day, got some photos, chatted about old cars or made the occasional donation - hopefully everyone had a great day!!
