Day 0 is scrutineering day, but before that, it was time for fuel...
Then arriving at scrutineering...

ARB Broken Hill kindly supplied the workshop for scrutineering...
After passing with flying colours, it was back to the hotel for an afternoon of quiet reflection, a few quiet drinks and some strumming... And then this magnificently turned out HR ute appeared!! Damian thought it was a cracker, and also that they would be sad after the first few days on the dirt!!

Angus and Annie from Ladybirds (new entrants for 2014) decided that they need a rest on the way to dinner...

Hats arrived... woohoo!! (They weren't available when the boys took Booger Mobile to scrutineering.)
Damian tests the metal of his 5 year esCarpade badge... Yep, it's real!! (Looks like he caught a bit of sun today, or was just chomping so hard on the metal his face went red...)
After the earliest finish ever, it was back to the hotel for Damian to do a blog post... An early start awaits for the first day of driving...
