Booger Mobile was a bit damp from the night air and drizzly rain, but started fine and generally behaved itself.
Down to Nobbys Beach Surf Club for breakfast...
The carpark filled rapidly...
Sweep panorama of the beach...
Warning... warning!!
Nobbys Beach lighthouse through a nice archway...
Lining up for breakfast - bacon, eggs, mushrooms, juice...
Who better to be served by than Camp Quality's CEO?
Mario and family, with a ring-in Luigi (Michael from Shark Mobile).
Clowns turned up for breakfast...
As did the one eyed, one horned, flying purple people eaters!! (Admit it, you sang it, didn't you?)
Nobbys Beach Surf Club.
Jason with Ralph from car Ten 4 (High Rollers).
Bulk Carrier heading behind the headland...
Here it comes!!
Leaving the carpark, the usual water pistol shenanigans ensued...
Jason thought the best way to get an invite back was to give the CEO Simon a drink... Jason was a bad shot!!
Damian was driving in the morning... through some tree lined streets...
Over rickety bridges...
Finally onto a small dirt section...
MW3 (Mechanical Workshop 3) ironically having some mechanical problems of their own...
Damian using his PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
Driving into the town of Broke.
Speaking of Broken things... this Fairlane had a bit of a rough landing over one of the whoop-de-doos on the 4wd training track...
Speaking of which, here's Booger Mobile whizzing around the track at the speed of a startled gazelle!!
And parked in the shade for a comfort stop.
Meanwhile, there were a bunch of people checking out the Fairlane...
On the road again, heading the rest of the way into Singleton for lunch.
Parked at the Singleton Showgrounds.
The same year that Roslyn Sylvester won the Northern Agricultural Association Miss Showgirl, Booger Mobile was brand new!!
Jason did his best pirate impersonation while sampling the cakes...
Damian noted that the doorway between the two rooms was quite short, and was careful not to hit it on the up-step!!
Meanwhile, the rear suspension sagged even further...
After lunch, it was Jason's turn for a drive, while Damian navigated.
Past a cool bridge...
Past some interesting rock formations...
And lovely mountains in the background...
Under a train bridge...
And his first taste of dirt!!
Always time for a self portrait!!
Turning right, towards Mudgee!!
Through more tree-lined streets...
Parked at the mustering point about 10km from Mudgee... all the vehicles gathered for a procession into (and through) town...
The procession...
An interesting view of Booger Mobile (looking down from the hotel balcony).
Tonight's dinner theme was sporting heroes... Damian went as Jigaro Kano, the inventor of the sport of Judo.
Team Afro went as Bronco's...
At the location for dinner, there was a car show on...
Inside the huge shed for dinner...
Trevor (the official photographer)'s pictures played... including this one of Booger Mobile going over a "jump" on the 4wd training track!!
Sweep panorama of the people in the room for dinner...
After dinner it was time for a blog post and to upload the video to youtube... then sleep ready for day 2!!
