Waking up in Batemans Bay ready for the first day of driving, the boys were marginally disappointed to see that the rain had continued overnight...
There is a minor leak under the dash - causing some dripping into the passenger floor well...
However, the day looked like it was going to be magnificent...
Sunrise over Batemans Bay...
Heading to breakfast...
Mogo Zoo.
Clowns in their natural habitat!!
Damian monkeying around...
Ben did the first of the driver briefings for 2016...
Then the drivers were released!!
Heading out for the 257km drive to Nimmitabel!!
Lining up for a reasonably deep water crossing...
Thumbs up - safely through!!
Where does this track lead? To a comfort stop!!
Doing it the hard way!!
Car 81 needed a hand...
Damian offered some fuses, but they blew straight away, so a temporary hardwire was added for the thermo fans...
Working on the second wire...
MW 2.5 reporting for duty!!
Back on the road...
It rained off and on - enough to be annoying.
A coffee stop around the 194km mark... awesome!!
Hmmm... seem to have collected some mud!!
Time for a fuel up...
And a fuel up for the boys!!
Sadly, wombats were the most common roadkill seen on this drive...
Lunch in sunny downtown Nimmitabel!!
Heading back out just as Reg and Di arrive in OKA.
Driving to Jindabyne - a leisurely 85km.
Sadly at this point, Damian's camera battery went flat, however the remainder of the drive was all on sealed roads, and occurred with no incidents or injuries!!
Stopping at the service station to fuel up, the boys put just over 42 litres into Booger Mobile's 47 litre fuel tank, on top of the 21 litres in the jerry cans... close call!!
