With only eleven day to go until Damian and Adam head off to the 2016 Camp Quality esCarpade, it was time to get Booger Mobile's sticker situation under control...
But first - a quick look at the spare tyres that Damian just replaced... the remaining pair of Kumho R700's. Look alright from the outside...
But the inside was full of bubbles like this one - these tyres were a blowout waiting to happen!!
Luckily Damian decided on a nice new pair of tyres to match the four bought in Roma in 2015.
Next step - removing old stickers... Looks like one sticker doesn't want to play the game...
Grrr... Thankfully it was only the adhesive left behind, and not paint removed!!
Time to wave good-bye to memories of this 2014 sticker to remind Damian of 2013 and the leaf debacle...
2013 brought this sticker in response to an earlier post from Damian about using decent stickers that remove easily...
Of course, each year team stickers make their way onto cars...
Like this one from 2015...
Thankfully after much cursing and some hard work, the adhesive was removed...
Nice to see the front sticker was slightly more cooperative...
And in a hilarious piece of irony, after moving Booger Mobile out of the shed to wash it, Damian found a Where's Wally sticker on the rear bumper...
Nicely washed...
Looking the goods as always!!
Back in the shed...
On with the official 2016 sticker - fits nicely on the raised section of Booger Mobile's bonnet.
And onto the back goes a sticker advertising "The Mole", which is an epic mining vehicle created by a team that includes Fraser Strain (who does Booger Mobile's Safety Certificate each year). Read more about The Mole here: http://www.ausminecraft.com.au/
Probably a little slow for esCarpade, but would eat up the terrain!!
And this year, some nice advertising on the rear quarter panel...
And a matching one on the passenger side!!
The 2016 Camp Quality esCarpade is just around the corner, and Booger Mobile is as ready as it's ever going to be... question is, are Damian and Adam?
