esCarpade 2016 - Day -2 - Start heading towards Batemans Bay

Time for Damian and Adam to start heading towards Batemans Bay.  The plan is to put in a long day of driving on the first day, have a nice, refreshing overnight stay, then a shorter day of driving on the second day...

Up in the shed at 4am, it was time for Damian to go pick up Adam.

Lights...

Camera...

And being watched over by the Booger Angel as per usual!!

Looking well lit...

Time to turn off those extra LED's until daylight breaks...

Dark...

And Adam collected!!

The rest of the pictures show a sample of the journey down...

Heading over the Gateway Bridge.

Safety socks on, of course!!

Going alright...

Past Dreamworld...

And into NSW...

Cockroach country... or as Adam calls it - home sweet home!!

Lots of tunnels...

And large bits of fruit...

And prawns...

NSW had a squillion fixed speed cameras (and point to point ones).

And plenty of bridges...

Always time for a selfie!!

Breathe in!!

This was a bit of a tragedy - there were pools and spas all over the side of the road - someone will have some explaining to do!!

Oh look, one is recovered!!

A nicely turned out Kombie...

Adam's turn to have a drive...

Lots of roadworks!!

And Damian stuffing around with his camera...

Reflections...

A picture of concentration...

Good thing the seat moves forward!!

A highway patrol with a backpacker van pulled over... It's safe to say that it probably wasn't for speeding!!

Always right!!

Damian demonstrating the appropriate technique for collecting boogers...

Reflective Adam...

Not every day you see a giant clam!!

Damian still shudders every time he goes past the Mt White turnoff - regular blog readers would remember the water/fuel problem from the trip home in 2012!

And stopped at Ku-ring-gai for the night...

Probably a bit early to be pulling into a motel, but the boys had planned to stop overnight...

Stay tuned - getting close!!
