Block back in... again...

The block was ready for collection, along with the freshly refurbished head...  sadly, they weren't connected (however this does make it much easier to put the block into Booger Mobile).

Safely strapped down in the trailer...

Untied, ready for the engine crane.

Unwrapped, check out the shiny new dished pistons... Hopefully between these and the new head, all Booger Mobile's engine problems will be a thing of the past!!

Damian connected the engine crane...

Looking serious...  It took a lot of cranking!!

Hmmm... this looks a bit dirty... let's clean it while it's up in the air!!

Damian has gone to find cleaning stuff...

There we go!!

Just about done...

With the hottest apprentice Tricia helping, it was time to curse and shove the block into the engine bay!!

Temperamental thing... not quite aligned...

Damian attached a couple of bell housing bolts to assist in getting it all lined up correctly...

And still one of the engine mounts refuses to drop into the hole!!

A bit more bell housing adjustment...

Still smiling!

Finally!!  Both engine mounts dropped into their holes!!

Off with the engine crane...

On with the nuts for the enging mounts...

Voila!!  Shiny new pistons in the block, attached to Booger Mobile once again!!

Damian had to attach the torque converter bolts, ably assisted by Tricia...

Doing up the top bell housing bolts...

While Damian was working, a bunch of cockatoos came to visit and grab stuff out of the palm trees...

They were on the ground in the paddock next door...

Whoops!!  If it bleeds, it's on the blog!!  Damian discovers the edge of the metal is sharp!!

Painting up the new head...

Looks good!!

So the block is in, the head is painted ready to go, and there are still lots and lots of bits and pieces to reattach... stay tuned!!

Well once again Damian is hard at work putting the Booger Mobiles engine back together.Lucky for him he had his lovely wife Tricia to give him a helping hand. Not only did she take some fantastic pictures for us all to see the tasks that Damian completed, but she also helped achieve some of those hard task.
Will Booger Mobiles engine be up and running in time for the Camp Quality 2012 esCarpade, lets hope so.
    Well done Damian and Tricia.
