Tyre prep and sticker removal

Friday night, and Jason was to come around and help Damian to get the head on the engine.  While Damian waited, he removed several stickers from sponsors who have been on there for a couple of years, but are making way for new stickers this year.  The Lovells Springs stickers went...

As did the Jesus Metal sticker.  The JM website is no longer, but if you are interested, you can find Jesus Metal on youtube.

Also arriving were the official 2012 esCarpade door stickers...  Damian will find somewhere for them to go over the coming weeks...

Jason phoned Damian to advise that he wouldn't be making it around to help get the head on the engine...  Damian jacked up Booger Mobile and removed the front wheels instead.

Up on the jack...  With the jack stands for safety of course!!

Four tyres and rims ready to head to the tyre shop in the morning...

And with four nice new Kumho R800 rally tyres...

All eight shoved into the back of Damian's mighty Patrol!!  Thankfully only six will be returning (four new tyres fitted to rims, and two of the reasonable tyres to keep for spares).

And just because it's been a while, the passenger side (after sticker removal)...

And the driver's side...

Scrutineering is now only one week away.  The race is on to get Booger Mobile mobile to at the very least attend scrutineering...  Stay tuned!!

  1. OFF AND ON ON AND GONE OFF
While waiting for Jason to arrive at Booger Mobile HQ,Damian though it was time to remove some of the sponsor sticker of the sponsors who were unable to be back on board this year, and make room for the new sponsors. Many thanks to all the sponsors who have supported the Booger Mobile over the last two years.
Is really great to have Kumho tyres still on board and supplying the R800 which are now in the back of Damian's mighty patrol to be changed over.
    Well done Damian thank you.
