Camp Quality Main Camp 2012

Damian headed off to Camp Quality Main Camp 2012 - for campers aged 8 to 13 - the theme was Christmas in July.  First stop was the Flipside Circus!

The kids had a great time doing some acrobatics and juggling, then the circus staff put on a bit of a show for everyone!

As per usual, Damian was repping Team Booger Mobile, even on camp!!

Rice pudding for dessert... awesome!!

Campers got to try their hands at archery...

And one of the other companions brought his LED fire twirling ding dangs...  Good photo eh?

There was a camp fire and christmas carols...

Damian chilling with Dave, another companion...

The campers got to do the mid-ropes course, which finished in a flying fox ride!!

They also got to try their hand at abseiling!!

The campers and companions got to try their hand at cartoon drawing... This is Damian's effort!!

At the disco, Damian (the world's biggest elf) hung out with Dan, a life-size elf!!

And on the last day, a trip to Aussie World.  Damian asked the ride operator if he was going to have enough leg room in the roller coaster carriage (one person per carriage, on an old wooden roller coaster).  The reply was that he'd never seen someone's feet hit the end.  Damian got in and placed his feet on the end, telling the operator "you have now!!"

On the roller coaster, turning past the ferris wheel...

So that gives you an idea of what goes on at camp.  Camp Quality never has enough male volunteers, so if you are wanting to make a real difference to a child living with cancer and their family, consider volunteering today...

Of course, even if you don't want to volunteer, you can still support Team Booger Mobile's fundraising efforts by clicking the Donate Now button on the top right hand side of this blog!!
